Yes, it is early for lunch, but I'm eating it anyway. I've been up since 5:00 a.m.
I love Progresso' Creamy Mushroom soup! It kicks BUTT!!! And on a cold day like today, it's warm and rich and sooooo comforting.
What are you having for lunch today?

31. quick fix for COM soup: |
|
Saute some green onions and fresh mushrooms in some butter, then stir in the condensed soup. Add 1/2 can milk and 1/2 can water.
You would be amazed at the difference.
I have made this with canned mushrooms too. Pretty good

24. They are a Target Brand called.... |
|
"Archer Farms" available at Target. There's just a basic Target by my house (not a Greatland or Grocery) --- They have several varieties. I just discovered them a couple of days ago and have only had the Rosemary and Olive Oil Chips. They are thick chips with Rosemary and Sea Salt and they are to die for!!!!!!

30. Hamburger Stroganoff would be impossible w/o COM soup |
|
Hamburger Stroganoff
Brown 1 to 1/2 pound lean ground beef w/a large onion diced. Add about 1 clove of garlic or equivalent, you can also add some Hungarian papricka if you have it.
Add 1 can Cream of Mushroom soup, stir until the soup melts into the meat, add about 1/2 can of water if needed.
Add 1 can of mushrooms, drained. ( now sometimes I get jazzy and saute fresh mushrooms and add them)
At serving time, add sourcream.
I like to just have the sour cream on the table so folks can add as much or as little as they like.
Serve over hot cooked noodles
Serves at least 4 persons, unless they are hungry cavers. I used to make this in mass quantites for up to 40 people to eat after caving all night.
