Ben, the professor character who lives with one of the main protagonists, is HIV+ and wrote a book about living with it. A groupie ex-student wanted to sleep with him in order to get it to.

I don't know how realistic the episode was, but they described a party for chasers so that they could get infected (which is what the student did when Ben wouldn't sleep with him). I don't remember exactly why -- part of it was, "I'm going to get it someday anyway, so I want to get it from someone special". Also, I think that people had deluded themselves into thinking it was a part of gay culture. Very sad.

Yesterday was the 2 year anniversary of my brothers death from AIDS. Perhaps this fellow would have liked to spend the last month with my brother and me. It is not a pleasant disease and my brothers was not an easy death. This is so very sad.

its someone faking being a gay man. there are VERY few chasers (the study/article was based on a terribly small sample size) and i doubt that they are advertising online. assuming hes talking about HIV.

ofcourse trannie chaser or chubbie chaser could be what they meant
