It seems like a spontaneous phenomena of nature to me: Spontaneous Spousal Rage and Aggression Syndrome.

There is no treatment, there is no prevention, there is no cure.

Best thing to do if/when it happens: Hide. Don't move and stay very quiet and you may survive.

I've never been that angry at my hubby and would NEVER get physical with him - interestingly enough I have been beaten up by an old boyfriend. Does that count? :)
