Help with disco song please? Who sings this?
Edited on Wed Dec-15-04 02:07 PM by LDS Jock
On Ellen this morning, they played this old disco song, something repeating dance, dance dance dance.. and then a background voice saying yowsa yowsa yowsa.. not sure how to spell yowsa or yowza. Anyway, if you can figure this out, do you know who sang it?

They also did "Freak Out!" and lots of other R&B and disco hits.

ETA: I think they did "Good Times", too. That was another big disco hit.

6. Dance Floor: Yes. Disco Ball: Yes. Qiana Shirts & Gold Chains: Yes.
Platform shoes: No.

Sorry to ruin the image for you. --- Eventually I ascribed to the Village People construction worker look. Now I dress like the Village People leatherman. It really turns heads at the Safeway.

3. That would be by "Chic".
It was a hit in England in 1977 and "yowsa" has an h on the end.

7. my oldest sister said it "yowser" one time
and so we have made fun of her for it since. I was only ten or so when she said it, but my young gay self knew what the word was, even if I can't spell it.
