25 free .info domains ~L@@K~ |
|
Edited on Wed Dec-15-04 02:29 PM by LeighAnn
Edited to change "mydomains.com" to "mydomain.com" If you go to http://www.mydomain.com they'll give you up to 25 free .info domain names just like that. No strings attatched. I got a bunch to forward to old sites I have around like http://www.anticoulter.infohttp://bushfamilyvalues.infohttp://www.911trading.infoIf you've got any web pages up on free sites, this would be a good way to give them catchy domain names. Peace!

2. I just use their friendly "URL Forwarding" feature |
|
and it doesn't cost anything. Completely on the up and up. I think you have to give them a credit card number, but they don't charge it. They already had mine on file 'cause that's where I got "stopalbertogonzales.com". But the .info names are $0.
The only thing is, if you want to keep them after December 2005 you've got to re-up to the tune of $8.50 or something per name.

7.2 Autorenewal. You agree that if you paid for any services provided hereunder by credit card, you hereby authorize but do NOT obligate, NamesDirect to automatically charge your credit card and renew the applicable service(s) on or before their renewal date using the credit card information you have provided to NamesDirect, unless you notify NamesDirect that you do not wish to participate in NamesDirect's automatic renewal process. NamesDirect must receive notification of your intent to not renew (opt-out) no earlier than thirty (30) days prior to renewal date or on renewal date. In the absence of such notification from you, NamesDirectwill automatically renew, for a period of one year, any domain that is up for renewal and will charge the credit card you have on file with NamesDirect, at NamesDirect's then current rates. You are solely responsible for the credit card information you provide to NamesDirect and must promptly inform NamesDirect of any changes thereto (e.g., change of expiration date or account number). If the credit card has expired or is otherwise invalid, you are solely responsible for a failure to renew and NamesDirect shall not be liable for your failure. If correct information is not provided prior to the expiration date of the domain, your registration will not be renewed.
So if you register 25 .info accounts now and then do nothing with them for 1 year - you may automatically be billed for all 25 renewals 12 months from now.

5. There's an easy solution to that, however |
|
Just use somebody else's credit card number. Duh.
