You know what pisses me off? "Foundation for a Better Life." |
|
Do they have those where you are? Regal cinemas? If not, imagine the cheesiest 1980's Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints commericals, roll them in a big ball of post 9-11 bullshit commercialism, have the insane bastards behind the programming of PAX and the Hallmark Channel producing, inject a couple syringes full of insulin, and then stick that result in between the talking black doll Sprite commercial and a preview for The Mask 2: Crazy Animated Baby, and you'll have something approaching the commercials for "Foundation for a Better LIfe." What are they selling? Who cares? They're more ambiguous than a big pharma commercial.
If they want to make it a better life they'd stop making people sit through that bullshit.

2. Oh, and they've co-opted MLK and Gandhi. |

There's probably some crazy suicidal UFO cult behind the whole operation.

Get this: a thirty-second spot of some white Republican looking dude pushing (rudely) his way through a group of black kids. He drops a twenty-dollar bill. One of the black kids picks it up, catches up with the white dude, and says, "You dropped this, sir!" He says, "Thanks!". The tag line is, "Honesty: Pass it On."
I guess the moral of the story is if you're young and black you've just got to try to be more honest. I find it really, really disgusting. Maybe the white dude should go up to the kids and say, "Here's $500,000 for the fucking future you're supposed to have but don't because of guys like me."
