Want to have fun with a PayPal scammer?
I received yet another bogus email wanting all my bank, credit card & social security info, made to look like it's from PayPal.

The "link" to the PayPal page is really this url:

http://mail.sehwa.biz/blog/hide/index2.htm

I went to the url and filled in all the blanks with the rudest, most degrading messages I could come up with. There's the link, do with it what you will. I already forwarded the fraud email to spoof@paypal.com, which is what you should do with them if you ever get them.

(The link above looks exactly like a PayPal page but it's not, it's a scammer, for those not familiar with all the joys of a PayPal scam email).

1. I nearly did that
I was so pissed off at the scammer, but I just sent the email to spoof@. I should have done what you did.

2. I'm so sick and tired of these complete
losers trying this tired scam, and it pisses me off that it's so authentic looking, you just know some people are getting jacked out of a lot of money. :grr:

My sister got taken by some scumbag on eBay. She was buying a gift for her boyfriend's birthday and dropped $300 on football tix that never materialized. She wasn't the high bidder and lost the auction. However, someone else had kept track of the bidding, saw that she had been a bidder, emailed her telling her that the original bidder never paid, and that according to PayPal "rules" she was now obligated to send money via Western Union for these tickets because she was next in line behind the winning bidder. He said if she didn't, he'd give her bad feedback and she'd be thrown off eBay.

It was the first time she used eBay. She didn't know that you never, ever conduct a transaction via email using Western Union to the UK. :spank:

3. Oh, man!
I've been approached by scammers on eBay, but they were a lot easier to spot - usually the "let's go around customs and I'll use a bearer instrument to pay you, mmm'kay?" type... Sorry to hear your sister got taken.
