QUADROPHENIA!! The best they ever did!!

On the dry and dusty road
the nights we spent apart alone
I need to get back home to cool cool rain

I can't sleep and I lay and I think
the night is hot and black as ink
Ooooo God I need a drink of cool cool rain

Love Reign O'er Me.

It gives me chills every freaking time.

44. Another vote (non-vote) for Quadrophenia
And, since "Love, Reign O'er Me" is already taken, I'll put in my two cents for "5:15".
John
But it's all good. I've owned Q on album (two copies -- both with the booklet), eight-track, cassette tape, CD and MP3. In almost thirty years, I've never gotten tired of it.

Of those on the list I like Won't Get Fooled Again the best.
I still think Keith Moon was the best drummer in rock.

11. I spent...
... one whole summer learning to copy Moon's style (never got it quite right of course but I could bash away pretty good) and it ruined my drumming forever! No one could match Keith Moon - but he would have sounded pretty crap without Entwhistle and Townshend (PT once explained that the Who inverted the standard roles of the instruments in most rock bands, with the 'rhythym section' taking leads and the guitar anchoring the 'bottom end').

I don't have any interest in seeing "the Who" now that the entire rythm section is dead. They were incredible. Perfect ADD music.

And some say that Melissa York of The Butchies is the new Keith Moon, without the drugs. I don't think she's that good, but she's still awesome.

I mean, can any human being drum that fast on a regular basis without being on some kind of drugs? Maybe I'm wrong and he was better/faster without the drugs.

I've never heard of the Butchies. I'll check em out.

Baba O'Reilly.

Back in the olden days when I was in school, a bunch of us used to gather in the smoking lounge before school for a cigarette. One of the gym teachers liked to sing to us as he ran by on the adjacent track...and that's what he sang.
