I'm a bad kitty-mommy.
Just had to leave my cat at the vet. He's going to lose two teeth to gum disease. I should have taken him a year ago but, being disabled, it was easier not to. Having a poison ivy rash on my hands, face and arms along with the remains of a cold does'nt help either.

1. Bad kitty-mommy! Bad!
Well you got the cat to the vet and that's what matters. Hope all's well - and hope you get well soon too.

2. One of Female's fangs is started to grow
in length, growing longer than the one on the left.

I wonder should I take her to the vet for that?

3. If you are a bad kitty-mommy, I am a BADDD!!!! kitty-daddy.
One of our two cats had to have seven teeth out earlier this year due to gum disease. Just so you know, he recovered very quickly and is much happier.

I am so bad, but I hope I help make you feel better.

4. I so totally feel for you...
...and your kitty. Please, don't beat yourself up. The cat is at the vet now and you brough him/her there. Yes, it would have been better to have gone earlier, but you also didn't put it off any longer. Life is difficult and full of suffering and we don't always do the best job. It's important to be able to forgive yourself. It helps us do a better job in the future.

5. it is also expensive
to take care of a cat's teeth, but it is important. And it can have positive ramifications for people, too.

WHile my daughter was driving cross-country to move to San Diego, she stopped at a gas station in the California desert. A pitbull jumped into her car and her cats freaked. Wesley bit my wife (who drove with her) but because his teeth were in such good shape, and had recently been cleaned, my wife's bite did not become infected. Her doctor was amazed by this because cats have such germ-loaded mouths.

Besides, it is the best thing for the cat.

6. I would'nt be so hard on myself but I know
to take better care of his teeth since he's an indoor cat and does'nt get the benefit of hunting.

8. Does hunting help clean their teeth?
I never heard this before. Our cats go in a small enclosed patio, and one of them has caught several lizards, so here's hoping it helps his teeth.

We had to have our cat's teeth cleaned at the vets a few years ago. It was expensive, but that was back when my husband had a good job. We are supposed to brush their teeth, but the cats hate it so much it seems like it might cause more trauma than it's worth.

7. Don't feel so bad.

My Mina had fleas so bad this summer she was losing
her hair, and bad-kitty-mommy me didn't even notice
until a neighbor came over and asked me if my cat
had been attacked b/c of the pink spots on her
back.

Bad-kitty-mommy!!!

:hi:

9. Better than making slippers out of them.
Do you have a kitty dental plan?

BBVD,
Just a little advice. Try exercising a little sensitivity towards other DUers. When you are new, you might want to be welcomed before you start with your hateful, sarcastic, profuse one-liners.
