Just saw the second best "Christmas Carol."
The one with Patrick Stewart as Scrooge.

(Best one had Alistair Sim.)

2. I like that one...
but when he calls the servant "My Dear." and "My love." at the end just creeps me out.

Other than that, it's pretty good.

3. He was a terrific Scrooge!
I only wish PBS or some other network would film his one-man version of A Christmas Carol. I saw it twice on Broadway. It was the most amazing performance I have ever seen on stage! (I dragged my Mother with me the second time. She was blown away!) The man plays ALL the characters. It's unbelievable! I'd love to have a copy of it on DVD. :)

4. Heard a story once....
...that the cast of ST:TNG were upset when he didn't give them free tickets for the show. He had to remind them that he was doing it for charity.

5. That's my husband's favorite too.
You know, I have never seen the Alistair Sim version. I bought it on DVD a couple of weeks ago on the strength of all the great reviews it has received, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

We have a tradition of watching the Reginald Owen/Gene Lockhart version every Christmas Eve after the kids go to bed.

6. I also liked the one with George C. Scott,
Bill Murray is the best "modern retelling."

That musical thing with "Fraizer in a nightshirt singing" was the worst EVER. :puke:
