Teen charged after sharing online sex video in alleged revenge
HAMILTON - When the online relationship between two teens went sour, a private sexual encounter suddenly became very public.

Now a 16-year-old boy from Ancaster, Ont., faces child pornography charges and a 16-year-old girl could have an embarrassing image hang over her head forever.

The boy is alleged to have recorded the girl engaging in a sex act each performed in front of Web cams. Police say the pair had a falling out and the boy sought revenge by e-mailing the video to his friends.

It's the modern-day equivalent of the lovelorn scrawling nasty graffiti on the bathroom wall. But in the age of the Internet, it could instantly be made available to untold millions of computer users worldwide and result in a criminal record.

1. this happened to a girl i met once...
i live in milwaukee and have a lot of friends who go to uw-madison...i was at a party and met an acquaintence of a friend of mine...when she walked away my friend told me that a video of the girl stripping on her webcam for her (now ex) boyfriend had been circulating the internet for awhile...

personally i think that if they were stupid enough to film it in the first place they should be ready to accept the consequences

3. I disagree
Whatever they can hit him with, they should hit him with.

This will ruin a lot of her chances in life--all because he was pissed over what happens to every 16 year old in the world. It was mean, and since she was underage, it was illegal.

4. He had no right
But child porn is going too far, IMO. Harassment or something like that is more appropriate.

And since when is stripping porn?

5. Yah, put everyone who sees it in jail too....
We all know that merely veiwing an image of a naked 16 year old girl turns men into rapists and women into suicidal depressives. Anyone who's seen this video should be isolated from society for life.

<sarcasm off>

I hate the idea that anything a 16 year old boy does deserves adult punishment but 16 year old girls are frail victims. He may deserve a whack but not a sex crime charge. Equal rights has to cut both ways.
