My neighbor aka "The night mower"

is mowing his lawn right now!!! I hate this guy! It's like 30f and this moran is mowing his goddamn lawn!!!!

but I also have a neighbor that gardens at night.

He takes this big ass halogen work light out on the grass, and proceeds to weed his flower beds at night.

During the summer he doesn't wear a shirt, and he's pretty built-- but it's just weird!!

22. hate to say it, but the watering at night is good conservation.

And better for the survival of the plants. If you water during the day, something like half of the water evaporates before it gets into the ground, basically wasting the effort and the water. (This, of course, depends on your ambient humidity, but...)

Additionally, plants don't use much water during the day. Most of the water used is during the night, during the dark reaction phase of photosynthesis.

Of course, the fact that this is DECEMBER... and he could have mowed in the dark at say... 5:30 is rather irrelevant.

Get all wild. Slap the bible with your hand and preach it to him. Hop around hollering and yelling praises real loud. In a dress. With a chin strap on :) Just out crazy him and make him the one complaining about that nutcase next door...

Heck I know my neighbors pretty well. I grew up here. My mom lives next door. Two doors down is jimmy, he did 6 years on murder charge - not to mention other things he has spent time for. Still fun to hang out with. We have had a whole mix of people here, but none have ever messed with my family. Most think I am a little crazy and are scared of me, even though they know me (that silent type who used to walk around the hood with a machete. I once ordered a pizza and when the guy got here I jumped out of a tree in a ninja outfit and kick on a lighter and made a flame thrower from hair spray - all the while my friend was in the bushes yelling 'I got him covered, clear bead on him'). I paid for it and thanked him for being a good driver. Never saw him again.

Being crazy helps. I act sane most the time to people, but then get a little weird so I appear unstable. Of course I am a little crazy, which helps.

Once I had a boss I hated (got him canned later on). He came to my desk to bitch about something and promptly left. He then called me into a conference room. "I want to ask you not to wear pants with holes in them. When you were sitting there your balls were hanging out, and I think it was inappropriate. I am not sure if you noticed this or not. Blah Blah Blah." I did (and it became a legend at work) and it sped along his demise and he became more unrational and afraid to deal with me. In the end the company went under and I wound up being the last person out of the building and getting anything I wanted. I got to lay off my X manager too, which was great because he was a supreme dick.

Funny thing is I hired one guy who used to work there and he asked me about it, and I told him it was true. And now we have merged with another company and my X boss works for them. Can't wait to make his life hell again :)

7. Since it's getting dark earlier...

my redneck neighbor just bought bigger headlights for his riding lawn mower. If I had known he was going to do that, I wouldn't have replaced his alternator as a favor to him a few weeks ago. My wife has already asked me to go uninstall it.

20. I have neighbors that attract "night honkers"

Their visitors are too lazy to knock on the door, so they honk their horns to have the people come out to the car. Usually I get woken up by honking around 1:30AM and 3:30 AM every weeknight. Weekends are worse.

Wanna trade? I'd get used to the mowing sound. It's the honking out of the dead of the night that gets to me.

I was in Alaska, and it was 2am, but then I found it wasn't really an uncommon occurrence.
