I believe the sweetest thing on earth is a purring kitten. |
|
These feral kittens, Skittles and Francie,* still won't let us touch them. But they're becoming more and more social, part of the household.
The sweetest thing on God's green earth, I swear, is when one of them gets up on the bed to play (this has become a ritual) and instantly begins to purr.
When one of our big cats is on the bed too, the purring becomes so loud that it probably registers at Cal-Tech.
I love these kittens!
* gender still undetermined

3. Huntington Beach, actually. |
|
Yep, I'm a native Southern Californian. Born in Santa Monica, grew up in Huntington Beach. I miss it so badly, Jack. I'm going to surprise my sisters on xmas day and tell them I'm going home for my birthday in February.
BTW... GO, CHARGERS!

kittens that are/were feral. Blackie will come and lay and play on my husbands lap now, but rascal won't let us touch him. IF I'm able to catch him and pick him up he'll hide his little face in my elbow like an ostrich and scamper away SO fast when I put him down. He does purr though IF I can keep him there long enough. They are so sweet. We've had them for over a year and we're not giving up. They think rogue is their mother. Rogue is 2 years older than they are. Rascal is especially attached to Rogue, Blacky is more like the alpha tough guy hehe.

We can't keep these little ones. We already have 6 indoor cats. :cry:
I think Petey would become their surrogate mother, as your guys have bonded to Rogue. (Petey is having his first experience with a hairball, though, and is quite ill, so right now all he does is cuff the little ones. Poor kid.)
