Will Ken Lay go to jail in 2005? |
|
A full three years after Enron went bankrupt...3 years after Enron made it impossible for employees to cash out their pension funds before they were tanked, while Lay cashed out $70 million for himself
This man is nothing more than a swindler, who showed he has as much class as a mafia goon working a pump and dump scheme in some chop shop
He belongs behind bars

3. Ken Lay's actions can be excused while Martha Stewart sits in jail |

4. I don't think Martha did anything wrong |
|
If I was given a tip that my stocks were going to tank, I would have cashed out too.
The fact that the Justice Dept. moved to prosecute Stewart but is ignoring the real villians is an outrage

6. Yep I agree completely and the media is to blame |
|
the media created hype about Martha .... the public could have cared less .... where is the outrage with Ken Lay.... journalists choose what is news and report that nothing else.

9. There was plenty about Lay in the news |
|
he was a real villian in the news....it's the Justice Department that used Martha as a scapegoat and hasn't moved aggressively on Lay or several of the other key players that I am mad with
Several other players in Enron have been convicted. I just read about some Merill-Lynch investment bankers who had formed one of Enron's partnerships that was reported as income were tried and convicted of conspiracy in NY.

(husband of a childhood friend) who worked on the BCCI and Enron cases. His opinion was that Ken Lay would eventually go to jail.

8. There is no way to hide his guilt----he is just too controversial |
|
no politician or public figure could possibily try to intervene (at least publicly) The fact that he is not in jail already tells me that the public have demand that he will be tried now.
