Poll question: X-Mas Gift Idea!!: Best DVD for an Alcoholic / Addict friend |
|
Although all of these movies were well received, a few of them are true classics, and two of them were powerful enough to convince me to swear off alcoholic beverages for good. (Can you guess which ones?)
I'm interested to see which ones the rest of you like, particularly if you've had experience with an alcohol or drug problem or with someone who has.

I would guess "Clean and Sober", but I haven't seen all of them.

That was one hell of a movie. I could hardly watch it, all the screaming and situations made me feel so uncomfortable. Very effective movie. Oldman!

Despite its sympathetic portrayal of heroin addicts, it includes the downside of addiction, and ends with a change of direction: "I'm going to be just like you."
