HERE!
I'm still debating what I like best. Probably the 6th or 7th symphony.

6. Lovely, lovely Ludwig Von! |
|
It had been a wonderful evening and what I needed now, to give it the perfect ending, was a little of the Ludwig Von.

15. The date of his birth is questionable... |
|
He was baptized on the 17th; but it was customary at the time to baptize infants within 24 hours of giving birth. (That way, if they died, their souls wouldn't be trapped in hell due to parental negligence.)
Some scholars say he was born the 15th, some the 16th, and still others the 17th.
His birthday's worth celebrating over all three birthdays as far as I'm concerned! My favorite Beethoven Symphony is the 8th.
Happy birthday Ludwig!

I mean birth records, or was it just baptism records. Well, NPR is celebrating it today, and so it Schroeder!

17. Ode to Joy...or, the Ninth. |
|
Wasn't he completely deaf at that point?
My goodness, what a genius.
Moonlight Sonata is a close second, but Beethoven is my favorite of the old composers. I pretty much like all of it.

19. The Ninth is a personal favorite, |
|
but for some reason, whenever I listen to it, I want to:
1) Watch the news,
or
2) engage in a little of the ol in out, in out.
