Michael Jackson to throw kids holiday party...
"LOS ANGELES - Michael Jackson is throwing the gates of his Neverland Valley Ranch — the place where he is accused of molesting a young boy — open to dozens of children for a holiday party Friday.

Representatives for the pop music superstar said Jackson had invited groups of children to enjoy a day at the fairy-tale ranch in what has become an annual tradition over the holiday season.

It was not clear whether Jackson, 46, would be attending the party himself. The entertainer is free on bail ahead of trial scheduled for late January on a 10-count indictment of child molestation. Jackson has pleaded innocent."

Insert joke here...

6. Is this true?
If so, what a stupid decision on Michael's part, unless he is not attending.

11. Yep. There can be no other explanation.
The parents are enablers and allow their kids to be victimized.

I'm the mother of a 7 yo boy; I would NEVER allow my kid there.

9. Would someone PLEASE get the names of the IDIOT parents
who allow their kids to go?

Whether MJ is guilty or not, any parent who puts their children in this situation is neglectful at best, (fill in the blank) at worst.

same goes for the parents of Jackson's current accuser. Shame on them.

All we need now is a tree and some rope.

Yeah, trial by jury is such a drag.
Gossip is much more fun!

16. You Must Admit He's At Least Guilty Of Poor Judgement
No matter how open minded a person is it's not open enough to condone a forty year old man sharing his bed with little boys...

18. Poor Judgement
I don't disagree there.

On the other hand, simply "sharing (one's) bed" would make a lot of parents presumptive pedophiles.

The current "pedo panic" -- as well as public sex trials, like that of Scott Peterson -- is really starting to spook me. It seems as though all sexual behavior is being demonized, as if sex itself was evil, and the Public is calling for its recriminalization.

No one wants to be slack when it comes to Protecting The Little Ones. But the continuing quasi-acceptance of child abuse shows otherwise. And accusations of pedophilia are impossible to refute, even on exoneration -- except for the notable exception of the clergy.

I have no special love for Jacko -- except to say that as an unmarried man of the same age, getting within 50 feet of a child makes me nervous.
