Ringo Starr narrated for "Thomas the Tank Engine"?
Somehow, it seems to be perfectly just the thing he would do.

Do any of the teen/20-somethings around remember watching that show growing up? It was absolutely my favorite show as a kid... it even beat out that crazy acidhead Barney the Dinosaur (http://members.aol.com/garypos/Barney.html)!

7. They certainly chose some interesting people for a kids show
A Beatle and one of the most vulgar standup comics around ... hehehe

They also got Alec Baldwin to do it I think. I saw an episode a few years ago and it sounded a lot like him

Mr. Conductor! He was great! Then George Carlin came along. He was decent, but NO RINGO STARR! :D

9. I guess I was too young to realize it was Ringo
I do remember Carlin though. I also remember my mom cracking jokes about him being on a kids show :)
