Anyone have a salt water fish tank |

Edited on Fri Dec-17-04 01:00 AM by aquaman
I got a 65 gallon tank a few months back, I love it but good God what a money pit. A few of the fish have ICH now and had to buy the treatment. Had to buy a heater too due to the cold snap. But hey, it's cool.

But it is fun to take care of all the amazing creatures. It just cost more than I thought that it would.

3. Friend of mine has one. He just hires someone to take care of it. |
|
Busy man, he is.
But I do know that many here are saltwater tank people - I've posted a few threads about my aquarium in the last couple weeks, and some saltwater people have chimed in.
I hope you can figure out what's wrong and get it solved. I hope someday, once I know what I'm doing, to have a saltwater tank. They're so beautiful!

I hire someone to take care of mine too. They come out every two weeks but the daily maintenance is crazy. The guys that come out to service the tank are amazing, it's like talking to medical doctors, they know their stuff. They charge like a doctor too. You have to understand, I had a fresh water tank before, little to no maintenance required.

6. i'm running a brackish tank |
|
With a few green spotted puffers.. a lot more work then the tropical i had before.. but the fish are a lot more fun.. when they get older i can slowly bring it up to full salt. but man, that salt is expensive.. and if you do proper water changes you can be spending 30 - 40 bucks just on salt.. let alone the testers are pricey as hell.
sorry to hear about your ich.. still been lucky.

8. Why would "Aquaman" need our advice? |

I mean, aren't you some kind of Lord of the Undersea World or something? I would think you would be lord over more than 65 gallons. :)
P.S. Do mermaids really go topless?

I know how to talk to the sea creatures but it is another thing to take care of them.
