I mean, anything over 2 lbs is getting rather ridiculous.

3. My all-time favorite?
It is Teuscher from Switzerland. Oh My Friggin God they are good. The Champagne Truffles are 30.00 for a box of about 20, but they are so, so good.

Champagne Truffles
Teuscher's signatue Truffle: a Dom Perignon cream center surrounded by a dark chocolate ganache, coated in milk chocolate and sprinkled with confectionner's sugar.

4. Sprees!
And not those new "soft" Spree abominations, either!

Very close runner-ups are red swedish fish, michigan cherries, and lemonheads.

7. Home made fudge, but not that chewy crap. I like it
grainy. If it doesn't burn your throat, it isn't good fudge. It has to dissolve quickly to get that burst of flavor. Peanut butter mixed in is ass kicking too.

A touch of cayenne will enhance the cocoa flavor. That works in hot chocolate too.

M&M's are my favorite of the commercial candies. Halvah is another favorite. Chocolate or pistachio is fine with me.

28. It doesn't take much to supercharge the taste.
I do a variation on the Hershey recipe. I stir when they say to let it set and cool. I believe it changes the texture by introducing more air bubbles into the fudge and speeding up the cooling.

35. It seems like that would
give it a grainier texture too, right? I love homemade caramel that's grainy and chunky like that. It's the best!

38. It does. It also disolves
much faster. The chewy style seems to mask the flavor of the chocolate.

18. I like me a good ol' Zagnut on occasion.
Or maybe on the drive home from work, a big old Milky Way to go with my 24oz can of Bud Lite. Pick 'em both up at a little gas station run by a couple of Hindu fellas. Good people, them Hindus. I understand they don't eat no cows. Cows must like 'em. I know I do. Not because they won't eat me neither mind you, but because they sell really, really cold 24 oz. cans of Bud Lite. Like I said, good folks them Hindus

46. Has anyone heard of Esther Price Candies?
I grew up in Dayton, OH, and there is a local candy maker there named Esther Price Candies. It is the absolute best chocolate on the face of the earth. I've heard people rave about Godiva, but this stuff runs rings around Godiva. If you are ever in the Dayton/Cincinnati area, be sure to pick up a box (or 12). Or go on-line (http://www.estherprice.com/) and have a box shipped to you.
This is not a paid commercial announcement.
