Best Roxy Music Album (it's Friday, it must be poll time!!!)

My personal favorite is still their first album (with "For YOur Pleasure" a VERY close second). I personally prefer the early stuff, but enjoy the later music as well...I saw them in 2002 on their tour, and it was truly an AMAZING show...nobody before or since sounds like Roxy Music!!!

Should have been a hit here in the states as well as England...they played that on their last tour, and I was literally in tears it was so beautiful...

I'd say Country Life, though I must say Stranded has this really cool sound quality.

3. My husband and I love Roxy

they are our special band. We saw them live last year for our 10th anniversary. It was so special. They were totally awsome. Bryan Ferry sounded unbelievable.

I've been a huge Roxy fan, ever since the release of the first album. I even share a birthday with Bryan Ferry.

I've seen Roxy live 5 or 6 times, and Ferry live twice. They never disappoint, though I suppose that those days are over now.

For Your Pleasure is probably my favorite, but it had received some support in the poll, whereas Roxy Music had not.

And besides -- "Chance Meeting" is one of the most beautiful songs ever.

8. Stranded

What a record. I wore my copy out when it was released. I like all their albums up to their disco period, but Stranded will always be my favorite. I have a bootleg of them live with Eno in Germany that is probably the one I listen to most these days, but Stranded sends me into a time warp.

And, for Roxy fans, might I suggest seeing Arcade Fire live. They're very different, but I got the same vibe from them that I did seeing Roxy during the Stranded tour.
