After a year off, I have to go back to work soon

First week of January. This is the longest in my entire working career that I've taken off and I've loved every minute of it. Even when I had my kids, I worked all through my pregnancies and went right back afterwards.

I had surgery last January and the recovery time was a lot longer than I thought it would be. I could have gone back in November but my boss and I both agreed it made sense to wait until after the holidays.

I should be grateful that I was paid disability for the entire time, that my job remained secure and that my insurance continued to cover me. I AM grateful for all of that but I sure wish I never had to go back. I don't mind my job but this being able to do whatever I want to do is great!
