Our other dog has some Sheltie or collie in him - I THINK. He is quite cute. I like Shelties, though I have heard that they don't cuddle.

16. If you get a sheltie that was raised indoors they are very cuddly. Jessie

will not leave us alone some nights. She loves to come up, put her head on your knee and stare soulfully up at you until you invite her up. Shelties also love other dogs. Just make sure the breeder breeds them in the home and not in kennels. Jessie is a love hound. Almost annoying sometimes. :hi:

The only drawback is she feels she must defend us from...the neighbors, snow falling, the garage door, the vacuum, the microwave...i.e. she barks at all these things. But she is easy to quiet.

She also loves cuddling with the cat. He adores her!

18. Huh - Gordie does that too - comes and looks at you

till you tell him it's okay. His latest trick is to tie us up together in the leash - kind of herds us. He has always had herding instincts. He doesn't bark often, except when the mail or a package is delievered or when he thinks that we are leaving him in the car by accident and if he only barks loud enough we will come back and get him! Thanks for the information.

11. Yes, she is a sheltie. I never wanted a dog. MrG grew up with shelties.
