1. Are There Any Gay/Lesbian Bookstores In Your Area?
Last time I was in Lambda Rising (Washington DC) they had a decent collection of window/bumper stickers, buttons, etc.

10. I love Lambda Rising.
It's probably the largest gay and lesbian bookstore I've been in. Sadly, Chicago has nothing like it.

14. Another vote for Northern Sun -- very blue company.
I've purchased a couple of t-shirts from them -- great service and good products.

4. Here's a great one...
It has the rainbow flag background. The text says: I'm straight but I'm not narrow.

When ever I go to Caribou Coffee, I see it on a car parked in the parking lot. I've love to know where teh person got it from.

7. I have one that says "marriage for all" but I can't remember where
I got it.

And I'm trying to figure out a way to say this without pissing anyone off, so I'll just say it: it's not "gay" rights. We don't want any rights that no one else has It's just equal rights. :)

To that end, you could get one of these:

From the Human Rights Campaign.

:hi:

9. equal rights indeed!
see now that's the part i couldn't understand in the election hoopla -it wasn't that gay/lesbian couples were asking for anything "special" it really was just equal rights. still is. i don't understand why some people just can't see it?

i'm sorry if my intitial post was offensive. i didn't mean to be insensitive in any way. i'm just so horrified by the constant bashing that gay/lesbian/bi/tran folks are taking in the media these days... i wanted to have something to show support...

as for me - love is love, and sex is beautiful, and anything that goes on between two consenting adults is none of my business (unless i'm one of them!)

13. and, did you know that "equal rights are not SPECIAL rights" did not
originate with the equality for gays movement?

Nope. It came out of the movement that resulted in the Americans for Disabilities Act. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Our country is really effed up in many ways.

15. I thought a bumper sticker
such as simply a rainbow background with the phrase
"leaving more for the rest of ya!" would be kinda cool. You know, try to sell the rednecks on a positive aspect of the issue or something.

If GLBT DU'ers are offended, accept my apologies and consider the suggestion withdrawn. :)
