HOLY CRAP...THE NETS TRADED FOR VINCE CARTER!!!!! |
|
Edited on Fri Dec-17-04 05:44 PM by Magic Rat
Alonzo Mourning, Aaron Williams, Eric Williams and 2 first round draft picks.
WOW
Holy crap!
If this trade gets approved, the Nets pretty much automatically jump to the favorites in the East I think.

19.9 ppg this season, Vince Carter has a lower then usual ppg average because he has been played for less minutes. Air Canada just took off from a new destination.

I think he just hated playing in Toronto.
Remember, this guy averaged 25 points a game, just about, only a few years ago.
Wow, now the Nets starting lineup is...
PG: Jason Kidd SG: Vince Carter SF: Richard Jefferson PF: Brian Scalabrine C: Jason Collins
The Nets are weak up front, but in the backcourt they are fierce.

The leaders in the east are Miami with a 17-7 record, the leaders in the league is the Suns with a 19-3 record.

wow, I knew they were having a good year, but I didn't think it was that good.
The Nets have to be favorites now. They have the best backcourt in the league. They have NO depth at all up front, and in the playoffs this will hurt them against a Detroit or Miami, but their 1, 2, 3 punch of Kidd, Carter and RJ should be enough to carry them.
Wow. I'm still shaking I'm so excited about this.

the backcourt is almost as good, and the front line is better. I'll take Jamison over Carter anyday.

16. no, but expect the Nets next move to be to bring in |
|
Karl Malone from the Lakers, probably for Travis Best and maybe a draft pick.
I think it would be cool to see Malone on the Nets.

13. So you're getting a guy who sulked his way out of Toronto? |
|
I hope things don't get bad in Jersey/Brooklyn or he'll start sulking again.
Good luck - no matter, you'll lose to a West team anyway. :P

14. well, i look at it like this |
|
the road to the NBA Finals runs through New Jersey. The last three title winnners have all beaten the Nets on their way to the title.
The Lakers, Spurs and Pistons all had to defeat NJ to get the title.
You know what they say, fourth time's the charm. :D
