Moving to the north suburbs of Chicago - apartment suggestions welcome
OK, so I now (finally) have a job with a generic pharmaceutical company's R&D facility in Vernon Hills, and I'm heading out tomorrow to case seven different apartment complexes I've found online. Anyone have any other suggestions as to where to look? I'd like to stick close to the Vernon Hills area (I hate long commutes) without having to pay a shitload in rent.

1. Hey!! You're back to Doc GonzoLives!
Nice!

Uh, I'm no help on real estate though.

And are the Cards going to sign anyone, or just let everyone leave?

4. A shortstop and secondbaseman, too.
Womack a Yankee, Renteria a Red Sock...cripes. Oh, we resigned John Mabry. And Morris, who's having shoulder surgery. :eyes:

3. move downtown
Why don't you move into the high rise that Bob Newhart lived in years ago? Well, he lived in it on his TV show anyway.

5. Congrats!! I lived in NW burbs for 15 years. I miss it...
If you aren't into long commutes, you'll have to stay within 5 miles of work. I was 7 miles in Schaumburg and commute was a solid 45 min each way!

6. That's Schaumberg
Right on the nightmare known as the Eisenhower. This is the North Shore, where there are other ways of getting to work - I lived 15 miles from Abbott Labs when I lived in Waukegan, and that was only a 15 minute drive.

8. At any rate
I could actually live near this place, since it's in an office building right next to Vernon Hills High School, but Vernon Hills is a wee bit pricy (I could afford it, but I'd rather pay off some debt right now).
