Here's To ALL The Beautiful Women Out There (EVERY WOMAN)!
Big or small, why does it matter?

Aren't we all beautiful? Not to give the Miss America speech here, but the weight "wars" people are waging seem a little... RIDICULOUS and exclusive. So whatever, if you choose to like a certain physical type of women over another, be my guest. But don't bring down other women in the process. We've all got something to us besides our weights and our looks. Why divide a society even more when it is already so divided?

Peace.

Women are great and it's a true shame that I'll be 33 when we celebrate the centinennal for women having the right to vote, that sort of thing should have happened when Abgail Adams wrote that letter to John Adams, instead of when my own nana was 8 years old. Weight really doesn't matter to me in whether I like a woman or not, it's how she is as a person.

12. another irony of gender history is
a certain english king who blamed his wives for not giving him sons, I am no bio nerd but hey Henry, that was your fault you didn't get a male heir, too bad he didn't have his own head chopped off, would have kept the brits out of Ireland for a wee bit. Sorry for the rant :).

13. Annie needs to submit her DNA for analysis before I'll believe she's one
of us.

I don't think she's transgendered because that's an insult to transgendered folk. I think she's non-human, and to be a woman means one must be human first.

Pcat

18. Amen.
There's so much more to who we are and there's no need to defend the point of objecting to the media's unrealistic expectations of women by putting down someone else in the process. We are more than our dress size, pretty face, or bra size. We are people, human beings with needs and things to offer in many forms.

I've always thought that women can be beautiful in any size. And what's inside really counts for something.

Some people are just naturally thin or heavy, and I think there's too much bashing of both.

21. I think that I finally figured it out
Women have become so strong and so much more than what we look like. It's when we feel powerless that we concentrate on this instead of all the other things that we are and could achieve. Sometimes I do think that this is the purpose of media that holds such a narrow gap between ideal actress weight and anorexia and only features beautiful women, unless they are playing an evil or dysfunactional character, that we will think that our weight and looks are the most important thing for women. We will concentrate on that instead of achieving things. We will fight with women over our looks and their looks instead of being supportive of each other and competing with men.
Do you think that men who are simply overweight or at the upper weight range of a healthy weight care much about their weight? Unless they are morbidly obese or do have serious appearance problems do you think that they really care if they are attractive if they already have a decent job and a SO?
I apologize for being vain like this too sometimes and contributing to some of these threads. I have been feeling powerless myself lately, actually more self conscious being thinner, and realizing that I'd make more money as a stripper than it seems like I will ever in my career despite having a degree and working hard. We must all carry on though and find self esteem apart from our looks and support our talents and each other.
