what do you do at your in-laws house??? |
|
I have been here since nine this evening, waited a while, twelve-O'Clock for in-laws to go to bed. They do not know that I drink or smoke and have been married seven years. Jesus, I am 32 years old and feel that I am a kid. Tell your in-law stories as I drink a lot!!!

1. my wife hates her family, so it's never an issue |
|
Never have to go.
She, however, has to put up with my family.
Poor girl.

2. Damn, they don't even know that you drink? |
|
That was the best part of hanging out with my soon-to-be former in-laws. Booze was free-flowing. Smoking was a different matter, as I'd have those during my 2 hour walk with the dog.

3. i have a hard time going to my inlaws. MIL is an energy sucking hole. |
|
she is neurotic and has serious psychological problems. i can only take so much of her before i go online or pretend to take a nap. i go to my room, close the door and read in bed. sad isn't it? if i don't say that i'm taking a nap, she will come in and try to talk to me as i am trying to escape into a book. this woman has no concept of boundaries. :scared: it creates tension too.

4. We hang out in the kitchen making a big meal while the kids |

play on the sun porch. We munch almonds and have cocktails while we wait for dinner. We eat. We sit around for a while afterward, talking, having after dinner drinks or coffee, and my MIL usually sets out dessert for whoever wants it. The kids get a bath and go to bed. My in-laws retire about 10:00. My husband and I go upstairs, where the bedoom provided for us has a TV with DVD player, and there's a computer if I want to go online.
When we visit we stay several days at a time (and then several days at my parents').
