Help! I need an excuse!

The 'rents invited me over to watch the Duke/Oklahoma game in HDTV at their house with our old neighbors this afternoon, sweetening the offer with chili and beers. I need a way to graciously refuse, and some reason to offer them other than that I'd rather sit here Lounge-stalking and puffing me pipe. Any ideas?
