My local PBS is showing some old ass shows... |

WHYY Philadelphia is showing some old 50's Christmas TV episodes... I just watched a 1953 episode of Dragnet where Joe Friday had to hunt down a thief who stole a baby Jesus statue. But it had a heartwarming twist. Now a 1956 Christmas episode of Ozzie and Harriet, complete with a plug of the NY world's fair. Some neat-o schmaltzy stuff about the "good old days"

they were actually talking about "Clean safe, gas heat and air conditioning" and then they were showing some building and then my dad said something about going there during the world's fair as a child. So I assumed that they were plugging the world's fair. But since it didn't happen for another 8 years, I think my dad is just senile...lol

it was a flashback to 1956...Ozzie and Harriet just said that's the way it was 8 years ago, so it was 1964 when this was filmed and my dad suddenly makes sense again!
