Where should I eat? Staying in Brooklyn, but will spend lots of time in Manhatten.

2. Where Shouldn't you Eat??!!

you should eat everywhere: Chinatown, Little Italy, Koreatown, the Lower East Side.

Seriously, it depends what kind of food you're looking for, and your pocketbook.

on edit: and yes, there are some great places in Brooklyn, too. Particularly in the DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) area.

Some suggestions await you here: http://www.chowhound.com/boards/manhat/manhat.html

First, two inexpensive Lower Manhattan places which are very convenient from Brooklyn.

Wo Hop for Chinese, 17 Mott Street. There are two floors - I prefer downstairs

Carmine's Italian Seafood, 140 Beekman St at Front St, right by Fulton Market and Pier 17. Nothing fancy, just good food. Plenty to do nearby.

Then, in Brooklyn itself:

Colandrea New Corner, corner of 72nd St and 8th Ave in Bay Ridge. 718-833-0800 Some of the best Italian food Brooklyn has to offer, which is saying something.

Junior's Cheesecake, corner of DeKalb Ave and Flatbush Ave.
