Are there any Canadian Communities in the US? |
|
You know one area they all seem to live. And people say things like "I'm going to Canada town."
Or "Stay outta the east side man...the Canadians will kick your ass."

When the national team was kicking ass in the 2002 World Cup, it would have been nice if there was a place to celebrate.

Maine has at least one neighborhood known to all as "Little Canada". The Little Canada I'm thinking of is in Lewiston.

Quite a few Francophones. A lot like the rest of Maine, I guess.
Mainers think Lewiston in general is a tough city, but only because they've never really seen a genuinely tough city, and consequently have no idea what one is like.

6. Minnesota has one too. Grew up close to its border... |
|
But unlike the real Canada of repute, MN's lil' Canada is just as typical as any other US city.

Tons of Canadian license plates. Had a good friend from Canada about 20 years ago. He ran a local watering hole and served the best chili on the planet. His daughter went back to Quebec to attend medical school at McGill.

Any community that caters to snowbirds in Arizona, Florida, and a few other places; Sierra Vista and Mesa in Arizona are huge snowbird communities. Yuma, too..

10. I live in a small town in MA |
|
And there is a large French-Canadian population here...including a Church that still says mass, in French, once a week...
I'm part French-Canadian myself but can barley speak a word of the native tongue.
