2. It's a cult of personality.
Most repubs can't point to a single positive thing Bush has done, but they vote for him for inane reasons like "he's a christian" or some shit like that.

3. I believe that some who voted for the chimp
did so out of spite. Others out of pure ignorance. Others out of fear. It seems to be a winning combination for repug politics.
What I'm waiting to see are some of these die-hard chimpy supporters get affected by this miracle economy and have their job shipped to Tijuana or Bombay. Watch all those W bumper stickers getting scraped off.

5. I have heard stories of upper mid class repukes losing their jobs...
Still pro-* all the way, unfortunately. They truly think * is going to help them. For being upper middle class, they sure as hell aren't very analytical where it's needed the most.

4. No Math Skills
1. Bush runs up deficit.
2. Bush cuts taxes.
3. War in Iraq cost $100 Billion dollars.
4. Privatize Social Security at a cost of 1 to 2 trillion dollars.
Who pays for this?
1. Corporations don't pay taxes people do. Therefore taxes on corporations will be cut.
2.Rich people do not pay taxes because they hire accounts and lawyers to avoid paying taxes.
Answer:You and your children will eventually pay for this.

People that voted for Bush could do the math.

6. I'm having a hard time with my daughter's father's reasoning.
This would be my ex, not my husband.

Anyway...he's had a small retail business for a few years. The last couple of years, he's not been doing so well. It's getting worse. He told my daughter he supported Bush because "Bush supports the small businessman" (To which I say, WTF?). My daughter tried arguing with him to no avail. He supported Bush because of Bush's alleged "support" for the small businessman, even though his business was failing in the Bush economy.

My daughter went for a visit, arriving last Friday. She called me Friday afternoon to tell me that her father's store was getting evicted from its place in the mall because he could no longer afford to pay the rent.

And he voted for Bush.
