A shaggy dog warms my feet. Two more are there on either side Pressing to me their hairy hide.
My children, they laugh at such a sight, But care not I in this winter's light For it doggone sure Is (was) a three dog night.

But Sirius and Nick-Nick did their job and kept me warm. It was 8-degrees Fahrenheit here on the mountain this morning. Thank goodness the ridge line to the northwest is shielding me from the 35+ knot winds.

my doggies prefer their pen & igloos; all cats are house-cats, & visited in shifts to keep jukes toasty last night!
