It's been my observation in my more-than-a-few-years on Earth that promiscuous people are usually not as happy as those not promiscuous. For whatever reason. Are they less happy because they are promiscuous, or are they promiscuous because they are less happy?

It's possible that when you have sex when someone just for that purpose, and you don't really care for that person, it takes a toll on both you and the other person eventually. I believe it is part of our makeup to want to be liked, respected, and regarded as a person. If we allow ourselves to be used, even if we're using the other person in return, it's possible that eventually we'll end up not liking ourselves. It's also possible that we won't like ourselves if we are the ones who repeatedly use other people.

However, if two people are okay with it...that's their business. And "promiscuous" means different things to different people.
