68 degrees... its beginning to look a lot like Christmas
NOT! I miss having seasons. Sure, the weather is beautiful right now, but I'd prefer it to be beautiful like this say in April, not December. Does anyone feel sorry for me having to endure this weather?

1. hah you feel bad with 68 degrees
Listen to me, it was below freezing this morning, and even with my hat and jacket on, I nearly froze.

16. I had to bookmark that thread
I don't know where his advisers were that day. That pic .. there just is no way to discribe it in words. I liked the Truman Capote comparison pic too.

4. Oh, the weather outside is frightful....
...but not here. It's nowhere near 68 (our high today will be about 38), but there's blue sky, a few wimpy clouds, and no snow.

No snow or precipitation of any kind predicted all week.

I miss my white Christmases! I miss Minnesota!

I do not, however, miss rush hour traffic on 35W through Minneapolis in a blizzard.

6. I feel sorry for you when you have to deal with the humidity
in the summer that I assume you get in Texas( that I hear about). I just finished shovelling snow and flinging salt on the ice on our driveway on a hill. the car is stuck at the bottom of the driveway for now til the ice gives a bit. It is about 16 degrees or so. OH well...

11. yes it is humid here in the summer, all 7-8 months of it
so I'm trying to enjoy the nice weather, even though I wish it would come at another time of year. I remember living in Salt Lake City and in the winter you would wake up, go knock off the snow off your car, warm it up and clear all the windows before you could drive anywhere. The snow can be a pain at times, but the world looks so beautiful and clean right after a good snow. Of course, a few days later the dirty snow doesn't look so nice.

17. I have been through Salt Lake City in the winter
going cross-country on a greyhound bus to Boston from San Francisco (long story that)and agree with you 100% on the "beautiful" thing. The snow PLUS the architecture made it look amazing to me.

18. Boston to SF.. on greyhound.. how many weeks did that take?
I did Los Angeles to Austin and Salt Lake City to Austin, both very long trips, but nothing like yours.

26. 3 days or so.
I have gone cross-country several times that way. I always met others(hotties too ;))that were going the same distance and we would make an adventure of it. I went through Texas(Amarillo is the town I remember going through) a few times when my destination was San Diego. It was always 3 to 3 1/2 days from New England.

10. Los Angeles?
I am in LA and this is like a summer day!
BEAUTIFUL out there, but TOTALLY NOT
Christmas...I am having a really hard time gripping the
fact that Christmas is days away.
Doesn't feel like Christmas at ALL.
If it weren't for family, I would completely
ignore it this year...I don't feel right celebrating anything
while knowing what my government is doing in
my name right NOW.
Fuckers. I hate them.

Its kinda similar this time of year, other than it is getting close to the rainy season there.

19. It will be 80 degrees on Christmas for me
(as opposed to the 17 degrees I put up with yesterday)and I couldn't be more thrilled. Cold weather and snow are completely overrated. I'll take a tropical beach over that crap any day.

29. ahh.. that makes more sense..
Christmas in Hawaii.. that sounds pretty nice. Be sure not to touch any ancient Hawaiian wooden idols. If you do, you'll have bad luck until you take it back to a cave with Vincent Price in it while wearing a huge white belt. Its been a long time, so I may have combined multiple episodes of Brady Bunch for that.

23. It is 9 degrees and it snowed last night
here in CT. Just an awful cold. With the wind chill factor, it's probably -10.

I spent two and a half hours trying to shovel the driveway. There wasn an icy layer under the snow. Tough as shit to get it all up.

Enjoy the warmth!

28. Sorry no.
I'm suffering today because we're in the 50s. It's just not Christmas for me unless it is at least 68 degrees. I hear we may go below freezing tonight. That's just not right.
