What's the funniest word you know of? |
|
For some reason, every time I hear the word "hooker", I end up rolling on the floor laughing. (Usually when Bender says it...)

because I almost called my kids teacher Mrs. Dingleberry, when it is something like Dayton. And, then when I found out the definition, it was even funnier.

5. Should we rule out Yiddish words? |
|
Cause they'd win hands down. Schmeggegge. Schmendrik. Yutz. Unless you include hip hop words like fashizzle too, but you probably don't want to include them either.

Schweppervesence (sp?). I'm not even sure it's a real word or not. I also like slap-happy and calling people Slappy or Sparky.
I think it was Radio-Free Vestibule that had a comedy skit of some guy on a street corner asking questions to others around him, and he would always use fun-sounding words. It eventually turned into a song with the various words as the rhythm.
"Excuse me sir... I notice that you're not wearing any galoshes." "Uh, no... I'm not actually." "I'm wearing MY galoshes. You know the Eskimos don't wear galoshes." "They, uh, don't?" "Noooo... They wear MUKLUKS!" "Ah." "MUUUUK-LUKKKKKS!" "Right! Mukluks!"
Etc.

Especially when you say it with a mock European accent, "OMG, that's so bahgnaaaaal" and I mean no offense to Europeans, I just like their accents. Imitation is a sincere form of flattery, ya know?
