So. Who is watching Nova: The Elegant Universe on PBS?
I watched the first hour of it last night.

It was pretty interesting if you are into that kind of thing.

6. Is that the one about string theory?
I saw it last time around. I thought it was terrible.

8. Did you watch all three parts?
I was a bit disappointed they didn't go into much detail last night and then I found out it was three parts.

10. That's why I didn't like it.
Not because it had three parts, but because the first fifeteen minutes was a recap of what the last part was, or because the last fifeteen minutes was a preview of what the next part was, or because any random five minutes was a repeat of what they just said five minutes ago because apparently they thought the audience was so stupid that they couldn't remember what was just said.

9. One note on production
There is a scene shot from the top of Mauna Kea, showing a sunrise. Only thing is, it is not a sunrise it is a sunset they rewound the footage to make it appear as a sunrise. That is an impossible sunrise because the volcano Hualalai is seen off to the left on the screen. That volcano is to the west of Mauna Kea. Color me anal, but I had expose this show for the fraud that it is!;-)

11. "A Science Odyssey" was better
Hosted by Charles Osgood on PBS was a much better series and covers pretty much the same material.
