AAAGGH DEAR GOD WHEN WILL IT END
Every time I speak to my significant other this week, it seems they are wrapping yet another Christmas gift for me- my God- I shop and I shop and I shop and they shop and they shop and they shop and no matter how much I've gotten they seem to be on a friggen mission to top me! I'm getting stressed! AAAGGGHh! This is why I hate this friggen holiday!

Anybody else feel pressured to spend a bazillion dollars on gifts this season?!

My credit card's nothing but a small sliver of plastic

Ah I'm just kidding (mostly). I thought it sounded funny though.

1. I don't feel the need to spend a lot of money
I was raised by a frugal mother, which was good, because we were, at times, broke. I learned to appreciate practical gifts and thoughtful gifts. Though I don't celebrate Christmas now, I still send my family gifts, and they follow along the lines of practicality and thoughtfulness.

3. How to Spend Very Little at Christmas
My wife's sister and brothers got together and put everybody's name in a hat. We each drew one. Eight people, one gift. My friend Mike and I each send the other a $50 gift certificate to Circuit City. My sister and I send eachother a picture.

Cheap, Cheap, Cheap.

4. Calm down, calm down
Here, have a drink.

Now, look, remember it's not a contest and it's not about who gets who more presents. And if it is, you may want to re-evaluate your relationship!

Have another drink.

5. I'd rather make something, or improve on something
than spend a load of money on mass-produced stuff.
