I hadn't opened my vegetable crisper in a number of weeks...
Just now, in a desperate quest for food, I ventured in. Suffice it to say I won't be eating any of the contents - eewww. Very scary.

Someone please feed me.

8. But you put them in the CRISPER!
Take your fridge back. Demand a refund.

I just realized it was you! I don't recognize other DUers as quickly if they don't have an avatar, hint, hint.

Sorry, just being stupid.

7. Au Contraire
Despite years of French in school, my French is rather sad and pathetic (and my accent is worse.)

5. Sounds like my fridge
which has to be sanitized before my MIL arrives next week. I should be cleaning it, but I am enjoying a glass of chardonnay, watching a vacuous show on cable and posting on DU.

6. You are my soul sister
Here's an entry from my blog.

Who needs a mother, my fridge condemns me.

A week ago, I was really enthusiastic about trying to replicate Soup Etc.'s Cauliflower Power soup. My enthusiasm never turned into action. I am truly afraid of the raw chicken. It would be an extreme sport to eat it at this time. The vegetables can be salvaged, but will they be?

Here's how it goes. Buy groceries (because responsible adults have food in their house), store them until they frighten you, throw them out. Repeat. I once found what I thought was a kiwi in my crisper. I didn't remember having kiwis. On closer inspection, I realized it was a tomato.

My mother is no Martha Stewart, but I know she doesn't approve. To be fair, she's been mute on this issue. But I know. I feel her condemnation, but I can't change. I think my fridge is working for her.

9. my compost heap benefits regularly from the buy it, store it until
it scares you, toss ritual.

I hate myself when I let something go like that, esp if it is good produce when I bring it home.

But I have great compost

11. Absolutely!
I have 12 days to clean my house, yet I spent today reading DU and other Dem websites. I actually showered and dressed up to attend my local Democratic party holiday event. To heck with my MIL maybe I need to do this for me.

14. You must not starve. Spray the vegetable based hairy goop with a citrus
oil product, undiluted, and salt to taste. You'll be fine ;-)
