Poll question: Would you buy software that forced you to have internet access? |
|
Some programs these days actively connect to their server for frequent 'license validation',
But if you don't have the internet on the PC you're using the software on, you're sunk.
So on top of that $100 program, you also need to shell out at least $35/mo ($25 phone line + $10 low-end crap 56k modem access)

1. I'm always skeptical of that. |
|
I know they must be installing some garbage on my machine that I wouldn't like if I knew what it was.

2. Nope. And I won't use any software which requires me to have |
|
IE on my PC in order for it to work.
I don't use IE. I don't want to use IE. And I figure if a software designer/programmer can write for only one browser, the software may not be of a quality I want on my machine anyway.
