Four-year-old's nursery song a chartbuster
COLOGNE - A nursery song by a four-year-old girl has soared to into the pop music charts in Germany, zooming ahead of Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue to land at third place.

Little Joy Gruttmann from Cologne is the youngest recording artist in German history to make it to the Top 10 - with good prospects for making it all the way to the top of the pops during the holiday season.

Her tinny-voiced rendition of "Schnappi - Das Kleine Krokodil" (Snappy - The Cute Crocodile) has put Joy ahead of Minogue's "I Believe In You" on its way to the top.

...

"Schnappi" is being played on radio stations nationwide and the video is featured on MTV Germany. A throbbing dance remix version of Schnappi is being heard at the hottest clubs.

1. They have lost it

How do you dance to THAT?

on edit: I was just in Berlin for the Einheit festival. Pretty cool. Stayed near Bernauerstrasse (U-Bahn to Zinnowitzer). It was fascinating to see the city reunited and pretty horrible to think about what Berliners lived through from the 1930s through 1989.

3. I have no idea
Frankly I am waiting for the Hasselhoff jokes.

I guess it might work with more bass and a higher speed

2. Btw, I saw a Rosenstoltz music video
but my german was to sketchy to follow the plot. A band member is gay and is re-accepted into the band? It wasn't something that would run on MTV here.

5. I can't say
Rosenstolz is a tad to kitschy for me. The singer is openly gay, so it is no surprise that they use that theme in their videos.

In the battle of the Berlin "ganz neue Deutsche Welle" duets, I prefer 2raumwohnung.

Or "Wir sind Helden", not a duet, but same genre:
