Ever worn other people's clothes?
When I was young, my friend's mom would bring me garbage bags filled with my friend's gently used old clothing. He grew fast, I did not.

1. As the youngest of three daughters...
I rarely had clothes that did not first belong to someone else.

2. I would guess over half of my wardrobe is from thrift or
consignment stores.

4. 99% of mine is used.
I am sitting around an office in very expensive clothing that cost me next to nothing. The pants I have on are 85$ the shirt 65$ and I paid 12$ for the pants and 6$ for the shirt used. I spent the real money on the birkenstocks I am wearing (27$ from AAFES;)

3. That's not what I meant by "getting in your pants,"
and you KNOW IT!

:P

5. I wore my dead brother's clothes for a while.
My wife just left me with all the kids, I was broke and having a hard time putting food on the table. My brother died the year before and left some decent, casual duds at her house. He had good taste in clothing so it wasnt that bad.

6. all the time
Because I am tiny, I am always the proud recipient of other people's already broken-in jeans that they finally realize they will never wear again -- or in some cases even wear once!

I'm a well-known thrift store shopper so people know I am not offended by these gifts. Indeed, I get a kick out of trying them on to see what works for me.

The nice stuff I can't use then goes to Goodwill. The stuff that no one in their right mind could wear again gets cut up for buttons and rags -- or some of it gets worn when I'm on one of my crazy painting kicks. Bring on the free clothes, I'll have a blast.
