Don't remember the kind, it was small like 4 or 5 inches. I don't know why I stopped, just was moving a lot and now I'm not really near any places where I would want to fish. hehe

25. My long term goal
is to turn the Lounge into a hunting and fishing forum.

I live in Chicago. There are plenty of places to fish. NY: the fishing there is awesome. Stripped bass, one can even shore cast. Even around LA one can fish. Did you ever see the Rockford Files?

Don't give up.

6. Nope, no one was home, my mom kinda knows his wife and has talked to him
before. My mom said he was really weird, he was in grubby clothes and he had bad teeth I think she said, she was very unimpressed with him to tell the truth. His wife is nice, she does tarot card readings.

still cool that you met a famous person.

I've gone trick or treating at Michael Andretti's house. He's a world famous former race car driver and current owner of the IRL champion Tony Kanaan. Michael and his more famous father both live within 10 minutes walking of my house. Both have HUGE mansions! my family is also good friends with Michael's ex-wife's parents.

21. Tony and Harold Robbins are pretty famous authors, too
Edited on Wed Dec-22-04 01:48 AM by Kire
Tony was the giant guy who does those info-mercials about self-actualization and who was stuck in an elevator with Jack Black in the movie "Shallow Hal"

I didn't know much about Harold Robbins, other than I'd see his name on books a lot when I worked for Barnes & Noble, so I looked up a profile. Here goes:

Harold Robbins was a best-selling author whose novels about sex, money and power were scorned by critics and loved by readers. Raised in a New York orphanage, Robbins dropped out of school at the age of 15 and used his entrepreneurial skills to become a millionaire by the age of 20. His fortune quickly evaporated and in 1937 he went to work as a shipping clerk for Universal Pictures in Hollywood. Robbins worked his way up to the executive level and began writing novels. In 1948 he had a hit with Never Love a Stranger, and in the 1950s he began writing novels full-time. Several of his books were bestsellers, including The Carpetbaggers (1961) and The Betsy (1971), both of which were made into movies.

14. Tis yes. He lives in the ugliest house I have ever seen!
Half the house is this light lime green color with white trim the other half is this dark blue with dark red trim. And there are these pillars that look like metal tubes... just bizarre.

But I won't ask you anything, because "ask me anything" is one of the tiredest and most wretched clichés of DU. It screams "I wanna fit in and be hip!"

You are better than that.
