You guys I just felt really shitty today after reading about
the bomb explosion in Iraq, and our guys just getting creamed as they were sitting down to lunch. I had a shitty feeling in my stomach, and couldn't help but think, man, this wouldn't have happened if Kerry were President, and where is that dickhead Bush ? No Press Conferance, nothin', like it didn't even fucking happen and it will be forgotten in a couple of days and everyone will have a Merry fucking Christmas. Man. I still feel sick.

2. It still would have happened if Kerry were president-elect.
Sorry, man. Most Iraqis didn't even f'ing care who we elected. Hell, every American that's ever gone on the air to talk has lied to them. What would make them think Kerry would have been any different? And the really sad part is, we'll never get a chance to show them that not all Americans are Bush. Hell, we just elected Bush. What message does that stand--most Americans agree with what they see as an insane murderer? I think he does America a great disservice to say he has a mandate. A good country helmed by a bad man is a lesser evil than a bad country helmed by a bad man, quite obviously. And I wouldn't try to do anything that would paint us as being more evil in the mideast. Certainly not while we're energy-dependant.

5. I suspect if JK had been elected, the Iraqi resistance would have gone
through at least a brief reassessment and look at the early actions under JK's watch, to see whether a prelude to turning power back to the Iraqis rather than consolidating a colonial protectorate was in the works, before planning their next moves. But it's impossible to know.

6. I hear you. I was relieved to chat online with my good friend
that is stationed over there who manages to get online for a little bit off and on somehow. Everytime something like this happens I get that stomach feeling. I think I would get it even if I didnt know somebody over there. :hi:
