Every time I go in his office, he's reading Drudge.

He asked me if I was cooking for Thanksgiving. I said no, we're going to my in-laws. His response was "That's what's wrong with women today, they don't want to cook, or they don't know how."

EXCUSE ME?

I cook when I have time. I work full time, have two kids to take care of, plus a million other things. I cook because we can't afford to eat out. I'll admit that most of what I cook is with the help of Betty Crocker...but I'll say this - When I can afford to stay home and homeschool my kids, I'll cook for real.

He also snapped his fingers at me to hurry up when he asked me for a phone number. I gave him a go to hell look, and he told the boss that I looked like I was about to hurt him.

My wife comes home from work, and doesn't have dinner made for me. I've just spent a hard day playing with the dogs, and swimming in the pool, or having cocktails at the bar.

11. I want to do

terrible, hurtful things to men like that, things that will maim them permanently but leave them alive to be reminded every single day of why they were damaged like that.

I'm a stay at home mom and I go ballistic over statements like that. Personally, I enjoy cooking, love baking chocolate chip cookies for the PTA. But not every woman does, regardless of her employment status.

We really need women to stage a general strike so that everyone can find out exactly how important they are to the running of our economy. Actually, if just the women with children under the age of six were to not go to their jobs just one day it would probably shut things down.

14. I hurt my back two weeks ago

...and my husband had to stay home from a business trip to help with the kids. He was so exhausted after three days, he kept saying to everyone he met "work and travel is so much easier, I don't know how she does it".

I plan to hurt my back a lot more often. :evilgrin:

12. Your co-worker is an ignorant man.

In July of 1996, my sons were 10 weeks and 3 years old. My wife, at that time the senior vice-president of a major trade association, had to be out of town (Hell, out of the country) for most of the summer. As a teacher, I had the summer off, and spent it taking care of the kids. Don't get me wrong, I treasure the memory of those two months. But anyone who claims that stay-at-home moms (or dads) have it easy, just doesn't know what they're talking about. I have been a construction worker, a combat infantryman, a college student, and, for the last 31 years, a public school teacher; but I have never in my life worked harder than I did for those two months when it was just my boys and me.
