3. What would we talk about?
Aside from the occasional, "What are your favorite extensions?" thread, I can't think of much to say. But give me a reason to belong, and I'd support it.

4. You forgot about the themes!
Edited on Wed Dec-22-04 03:42 PM by salvorhardin
Forget extensions, it's all about the themes! :-)

We could share our 133t Adblock filters too.

Our custom Page Styles? There's so much really.

I'll sign on to a Firefox group, but as I've said elsewhere I doubt it will be approved as it's a little narrowly focused.

On edit: You might better be served by going to the Firefox forums at Mozillazine.

6. I'm sure Skinner would love for DU'ers to start posting torrents
I mean, it worked out so well for Sloncek.

12. Sloncek operated the world's largest bittorrent tracker
Edited on Wed Dec-22-04 03:48 PM by salvorhardin
suprnova.org

He, along with a number of other sites, were bullied into shutting down or arrested and criminally prosecuted by the MPAA.

It's fascinating how the MPAA's influence extends as far as Slovenia.

7. There sure seems to be so many recurring threads about
Firefox and they seem to be all over the place. One place to stick a bunch of Firefox stuff would be good.

And it sure seems like new extensions get added all the time Firefox keeps coming up with new products -- looks like they are here to stay.

And there always seems to be DUers who need help with a tweak or somehing.

Maybe I'm just Firefox happy. But I think it makes sense.

15. checking in
Although I don't think I'd ever talk much in the forum.

I love Firefox. Life without a browser that uses ActiveX has kept the spyware WAAAAAAAY down. Plus, I'm running on an OS that wasn't included in the most critical security update for IE.

I'd been waiting so long to give a good middle finger to Microsoft's BS excuse for a browser.

I've converted lots of people to Foxfire -- none have returned to IE.
