What food do you crave most when you are ill?
Mine is Lipton Chicken Noodle soup; I will accept Ramen if necessary but prefer the Lipton's

or a baked potato ...my mom would always feed us baked potatoe when we were finally hungry after a round of bad upset stomach virus.

And when I have a cold, I can only drink tea, not coffee. First sign I sometimes have that a cold is coming on is that I wake up in the morning and do not even have interest in a cup of coffee.

1. I'm similar.
I like Cup-O-Noodles when I'm sick. I never eat Cup-O-Noodles otherwise. I also like "white" foods like mashed potatoes or macaroni and milk.

Coffee - same thing. I know I'm really sick if I don't want my morning coffee. I like black tea with honey.

4. I have one right now
Matzo Ball Soup, with noodles.
Mashed potatoes.
Big, thick egg noodles with cream cheese and butter (Grandma's comfort food).

All carbs, all bad. Aren't we supposed to avoid dairy products? Maybe, but I don't care. :)

9. Me too
I want chicken soup but prefer Progresso. Lipton is good though. Forget Ramen.
Toast with butter is good, as well as tea with milk or lemon.
I guess we're both used to a regular American diet. I wonder what someone who was raised on a different type of cuisine would want.

13. Tea with ginger marmalade stirred in
is my favorite for a cold or cough.

For bronchitis: Peppermint tea with lemon, honey and a dash of cayenne pepper. You can also add some regular tea for caffeine.

For a tummy virus: Rice cooked with a couple of sliced carrots. A dash of soy sauce on it, and if you can handle it, a spoonful or two of plain yogurt.
