When do the retail stores typically close on Xmas eve?

I don't get my paycheck until 3:30ish on Friday and I still need to do some shopping.

Will I have time?

That's my experience in NYC and Seattle for large stores, like Macy's, Nordstrom's

2. Malls at 6 pm

Smaller stores (like mine) often close early. We close at 3 that day.
