Sale prices on older cats (Chicago area)...
If you are in the Chicago area, and even thinking about adopting a cat, the Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin, IL, is offering their older cats for adoption at the sale price of $50. These pets have all their shots, have been "fixed", and are just as starved for the affection of a good home as any of the younger cats, but people simply don't adopt them.

Have you a place in your heart and home for one of these sweet animals?

1. Sure

I make a special cat soup. One cat provides about four servings, and it's yummy! :D

3. Older cats are wonderful.
I've adopted several from various places and have never regretted it.

4. mature pets are the best!
Mature, adult cats and dogs that have already been trained, are calm, mellow, make the best pets!

(often, you can find adult purebred animals at the pound...I did!)

6. Even the mutts are wonderful, though!
Only one purebred cat there now; Cheesepuff, a registered Himalayan. (And not one of the senior animals up at reduced rates.)
